The microwave itself is great. Very big with simple controls. I unboxed it for the first time last week after it was delivered a couple months ago and realized both sides are dented. Super disappointed since this was a replacement for the last one that was dented (the original was dented much worse than the replacement).

We figured buying a new microwave was a no-brainer. They are self-explanatory and not complicated. WRONG when it comes to this model. Setting the time and/or power level is not self-evident and it requires looking it up in the manual. You cannot directly input the time because you have to inefficiently use + or - instead of just entering the time (the numbered buttons only go from 1 to 6). Same with the power level. Also, once you figure out how to turn off the child lock, it is not permanent (must be reset every time there's a power outage.). Also annoying but not a big deal, the open button squeaks when we use it. Very disappointed regarding ease of use in general - it's not rocket science people! Make it self-explanatory to use! Microwaves are used everywhere and you shouldn't have to figure it out.

SAFETY ISSUE!! This microwave sparks and the Whirpool team will do nothing to replace it or try to fix the problem. This has happened with more than one of their microwaves in our home, both within 6 months. Now we are stuck with an in wall microwave that they installed and will not come to remove or replace. This is an unacceptable safety issue and I will not be buying from Whirpool again.

This was one of the very few that would fit in the built in space and almost identical to the one being replaced. The unit has a number of good features, instructions are clear,,, seems a littler more powerful than the one being replaced. Happy with it so far. Only concern: the last one(same brand) failed after 2 1/2 years of fairly light use. waiting tom see how this one performs.

I do not like the two-step button to open the door! It is frustrating, hard to push and not needed! Who would invent something so difficult to use? I am 83 and do not have the strength in my hands that I once had. Obviously, this was not a well thought out plan. I was not able to be with my husband when he purchased it and would not have had I been there!!!

It was time to purchase a new microwave after our old one lasted 25 years and for the most part we are happy with this one. A couple things could use improvement like backlighting all the items on the control panel so they can be seen easily in low light. And have the button to press to open the door clearly marked instead ot black on black,m again so it is easy to see in low light. Other than that we are happy with iit, easy to learn to operate. It is roomier than our old one and can accomodate larger items easily. The light inside though is pretty dim so you can't see the food you're heating to tell if it is time to take it out without stopping and opening the door to check. A real drawback. Our old machine had a much brighter light so if you were melting something it was easy to see if it was done, a drawback because I depended on that a lot, lke for melting butter quickly.

I purchased this as the replacement model for my 6 year old one that the button for opening the door cracked and fell out, hoping it™€™d fit the same trim kit. It didn™€™t and I had to buy a new trim kit as well. So far this model works ok, but if I was going to have to buy a new trim kit anyway, I™€™d had shopped more and probably bought a different model. I™€™d prefer one I could actually set as many seconds as I wanted not in 15 seconds intervals. Also, glass plate is different size so I couldn™€™t even salvage that. I hope this one lasts longer than the last.

I hate this microwave. Model #WMCS7022RB00. It lacks precision. It does not have a numeric keypad therefore the user cannot put in a precise time. I want to heat water for my tea for 1 minute and forty-four seconds. No can do. The door lock is inconvenient at best, not necessary, and a real pain. Also, so confusing. I wish I had never bought this beast. I™€™ve used it for a month hoping I would grow to like it, but no. Whoever thought eliminating a numeric keypad was a good idea?

The Micro-wave works great. I am not sure why you think the user does not need a key board. If what you want to cook fits ths pre-set fine but have to search for the plus or minus is so unecessary when a key board would allow us select the time. the light is not much help either since it does not illuminate throurgh the door.

Microwave looks good and I believe it has good quality for longer life ahead. I had to take 2 stars away since, my order says product cannot be returned or refunded, that scares me. Other downside is, this microwave needed new built in trim kit since earlier one is not compatible which was again from another whirlpool model which lasted for 5 years

So far so good. Have been using it for a couple of weeks. Seems quicker than our previous microwave which had the same wattage. Installing it with the trim kit was manageable. Creates a very nice look. I recommend this microwave. That if was $269 instead of $949 (for the Jenn Air model equivalent) made the purchase a no brainer.

Third whirlpool microwave in last year and a half. Replaced 1st one after year and 6 months due to defective heating device. Out of 1 year warranty. Replacement purchased had defective turntable and replaced under warranty. This third one working so far, I have Whirlpool refrigerators and wall oven but will no longer purchase whirlpool products or recommend them due to short lifespan and warranty. A microwave should last longer than one and a half years or should be replaced by manufacturer.

Works very well, style is very nice, however it seems cheaply made. Tin sounding when door is closed, paint has blemishes on inside and door closes tightly but doesn't line up the stainless steel (plastic) trim. Unless door is lifted slightly by hand.

This was a replacement by whirlpool because our new one that was less than 6 months old made a very large metal noise and then had error codes on it. You have to lock and unlock the door each time. You can not set it for exactly the time you want. You have to set it in 5 minute increments. Don™€™t like anything about it. Kind of tells you how many issues they have when Whirlpool will just replace the unit and not even try to fix it. Their service department is great to work with. But I hate the new microwave!
